Church of Oppiano
Collecchio
The life of the Church of Oppiano was determined by the events tied to the Pilgrim’s Way, which leaving from Parma, and crossing Madregolo , Collecchiello , Giarola, brought the pilgrims towards Ozzano Taro , Fornovo and the ford of Monte Bardone .
From the car park on the side of the Church of Oppiano, some nature trails start for visiting the Taro Regional River Park
Celebrated sons of this place are the painters: Riccardo Fainardi , (Parma, 1865 – Gaiano, 1959) gold medallion granted from the Art Academy, and Amos Nattini, (Genova, 1892 – Oppiano, 1985) “illustrator” of the "Divina Commedia", to which he dedicated twenty years of work in his home-studio in Giarola, which is now property of the Town of Collecchio. |
