One finds it in the plain, a land rich in history and charm, with its magical landscapes that are extremely evocative and with its admirable artistic-cultural wealth: with its numerous famous fortresses (Colorno, hosting International School of Italian Cuisine- ALMA - www.alma.scuolacucina.it - Sissa, San Secondo, Busseto, Roccabianca, Soragna, Fontanellato…) to the manor courts immortalized in cinema, to the “small world” of Guareschi to the Verdian melodies.
The principal product is the refined and renowned Culatello of Zibello (exquisite cured ham), which is right beside Parmesan cheese, the Spalla cotta (cooked ham shoulder) of San Secondo, the Spalla cruda (the cured ham shoulder) and the Taro Fortana, an excellent wine that goes well with salumi.
